common values of independence, democracy and respect for a person and his
rights and freedoms. And the Ukrainians, no doubt, are a European nation that
has made its civilizational choice: at least 70% of our citizens support the
idea of Ukraine's accession to the European Union," Ukrainian President
Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook. Poroshenko expressed his confidence that
"Ukraine will definitely become a member of a large European family."
